My Bio

I am a dedicated music educator and proud parent of five children. My journey in teaching music began with my eldest child when she was just three years old, and I take great delight in witnessing her musical growth and performances as a high school student in the school band. I have dedicated over ten years to my role as the Youth Choir Director at St. Stephen's Church, where I provide spiritual and musical guidance to the youth department.

Music education, in my experience, not only offers enjoyment and challenges but also supports brain development, reduces stress, and boosts self-confidence. I have observed the transformative impact of music education on my students as they progress from solo performances to collaborative ventures, ultimately realizing the benefits of a well-rounded music education. I am particularly proud of two former students who have successfully pursued music in college.

My teaching philosophy centers on providing students with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills, introducing them to inspiring music, and offering continuous positive reinforcement. While technical proficiency and reading skills are essential, I believe that fostering a love for music is equally crucial for a fulfilling musical journey.
